We’ve got a female cat and an older male kitten living in a lake-side neighborhood within a colony of 9-12 cats.
Today’s line-up! This morning I drove a bunch of ferals cat to @andersonhumane for TNR. We’ve also got the mom and two litter mates of Moon and Star. They’ll stay with me for recovery and a good meal before they are released! #tnrsaveslives

Please note: all traps are covered 24/7 to reduce stress in the cats. During transportation they slip or the wind blows them, which is why the towel isn’t fully covering the traps in some photos.👍 @windycityfosters said.
When you find out that the mom cat and kittens you’ve been trapping have a second home that they’ve been secretly going back and forth to. So you trap and neuter all the cats at the first home, but suddenly another kitten pops up at the second home. Bonus kitten! Well, she’s headed into surgery tomorrow morning to get spayed and ear-tipped like her litter mates. Then off to her barn home they go! Mama was released back to her neighborhood were she’s got a heated pond and a field of mice to catch @windycityfosterscat said.
Amber and her sisters were supposed to be getting spayed tomorrow, but she’s still too smol. We’ll try again later! This girl’s got some growing to do.
Side note—look at those bright eyes! A few weeks ago I posted a photo of her when her right eye was swollen shut and infected. Happy to say she healed fully and retained all of her vision—no cloudiness! @windycityfosterscat said.

I bought a huge sherpa-lined blanket today and the babies are a huge fan. Obviously. #sosoftcat

Baby Boo and Lumina have officially gone home…together! They’re so lucky and I know their new parents are going to spoil them with everything they could ever want.♥️ I’m going to miss these babies. Happy life little ones! @windycityfosters said.
Woohoo! The pumpkin kittens have all gone home!!! Valencia was picked up tonight by a wonderful adopter who has a 4 month old kitten at home needing a playmate. She’s got beds, toys, and cat shelves awaiting her! Happy life sweet girl!♥️ #adopted @windycityfosters said.
