🚨 New fosters! 🚨
Meet Ghost and Goblin! These lovely cute kittens babies are going to be crashing with us for the next week or so while a foster gets opened up for them through the ever amazing @therescuehouse 💗
After a good Samaritan scooped them up when mom went missing, another volunteer in our area reached out to me to see if I could help get them into rescue. Now we’ve got a foster situated and just need to wait until their older babies are all adopted.
These little nuggets are precious beyond compare and have been latching pretty well so far. They are somewhat underweight for their age but remain vocal and active little ones.
At this point, I believe Ghosty is a girl and Goblin is a boy…but those observations aren’t always accurate at this age 😉 Goblin has a tiny scab from his umbilical cord on his belly, despite being two weeks old, and has a chunkier head than his sister with closed eyes. He seems to be happiest when he’s napping. Ghost is a bit slimmer but the same weight (142g) with open eyes and serious spunk! She wants to scream and explore all day long.
Wish us luck for some sleepless nights ahead! 😴 @foster_kitten_factory said.
Our tiny Ghosty girl has two whole peepers! The eyeball fairy delivered her left one this morning and she’s beginning to look just a bit like a real cat 💓
Volume up for her adorable squeaky protest…this girl has a lot of opinions! @foster_kitten_factory said.

Please enjoy Ghost in all of her milk drunk glory, alongside Goblin’s glorious post-bottle naps. I think I’ll explode if things get much cuter around here. @foster_kitten_factory said.
Let sleeping tabbies lie 💗😴
These babes are still battling a bit of tummy trouble (especially Goblin), but otherwise remain happy and active little beans.
Halloween baby updates! Ghost and Goblin are doing very well, after a week of health-related woes and trips back and forth to the vet.
Both of these babes have been dealing with some GI issues, namely marked by constipation, bloating, lack of appetite, and general discomfort. The veterinary staff were able to give them some meds, fluids, and an enema each…which has worked wonders! Goblin has been much more comfortable and regular since his visit, and our sweet Ghosty (after another scare with passing hard stool last night) is on the mend as well. We’ll be continuing supportive care at home with electrolytes, probiotics, and antibiotics for the next week or so.
Though they’re still both quite underweight for almost four-week-olds, they’ve been taking each developmental milestone by storm! All of this to say that I’m extremely grateful for @therescuehouse and their continued support with our newest foster fuzzballs.
I love exploring the personalities that emerge at this age, and these kiddos are certainly no exception. Goblin is a heart stealer and absolutely loves to be held, petted, and cuddled with. Ghost, on the other hand, is incredibly spunky and prefers to conquer new terrain (while occasionally nibbling your fingers or voicing her many opinions). 💗 @foster_kitten_factory said.
I mean come on…they couldn’t be cuter if they tried ❤ @foster_kitten_factory said.
Target weights and developmental milestones are a great guideline for overall kitten wellness at a certain age…but when they come into foster as small as these two did, every gain matters!
Ghost and Goblin are six weeks old now…can you believe they’ve been with us for a month?! They have all of their baby teeth, solid coordination, play drive, and a very slowly developing interest in big kid food (Ghosty fully refuses wet food but gladly crunches down the kibbles, Goblin is eating bits of both well).
I could easily be nervous about their slowness to wean, or the fact that they’re only in the 550-600g range when other kittens might be in the 650s and more. But this silly pair is truly thriving…they purr, cuddle, run around, and eat their “meat milkshake” (my smooth, syringe-fed concoction of chicken baby food, kitten pate, and formula) like little champs. So when they’re ready, we’ll be ready!
Just so proud of these two cutie pies. So much love in my heart for them ❤ @foster_kitten_factory said.
This is a perfect boy, wishing you a perfect Sunday 💗 I can’t tell you how lucky whoever adopts this boy and his sister is going to be. @foster_kitten_factory said.
