Baby girl is hanging in there. Her foster brought her to me this morning. She’s getting ICU care now. She has a bad respiratory infection and is skin and bones. I’m hopeful I get get her well. It’s going to be an uphill battle for a while. . @theswiftiekittens said.

We are still alive. Struggling some with straight mucus for poop. Mucus coming from the nose as well. I’ve got her home. Set up in the incubator, warm and supplemental oxygen. Hopefully, she will start improving overnight. Come on little girl. . @theswiftiekittens said.

After a restless night for me, fearing that Fern would pass away, I woke up to her meowing and scratching yo get out of the incubator! She’s improving, purring and accepting food easier today. 😊💕 @theswiftiekittens said.

Baby girl Fern is doing a lot better. She was upgraded to a suite yesterday. She’s still needing a lot of supportive care but she’s eating well and just purrs away the day. @theswiftiekittens said.

Fern update: after doing so much better last weekend, in the span of 3 hours, she got worse. Her left 3rd eyelid swelled so big that it covered her whole cornea. Swipe to the 3rd image to see. I felt so bad for her. However, after 4 days of eye meds and a cone of shame, she’s much better again she has a plump belly and is eating very well. She will be cone free this weekend, I don’t want to rush it. . @theswiftiekittens said.
