So grateful to @animales_of_barra_de_potosi and all the many volunteers who were involved with rescuing and transporting these kittens to Canada, where they can have a greater chance at adoption 🙏🏻

This sweet little señorita is kitten Victoria, which is the name she was given in Mexico. Isn’t her colouring gorgeous?! She is dilute calico with ticked Tabby. So she’s a Tabico! This is coat colour, not a breed.

She’s quite timid and shy. But when I pet her she eventually relaxes a bit and purrs softly. She’s just very nervous about hands and being touched. I don’t think it will be long before she learns that human hands bring good things 😍 @whiskersnpurrs said.

He is such a lover! I’ve been having a hard time getting photos of him because he’s always head butting and kneading and flopping into my lap. He rarely stops moving. I love him already ❤ .
His nose got a bit sunburned in Mexico (I can totally relate!). So that’s why it’s a bit crusted. He’ll be fine @whiskersnpurrs said.
This morning has been all about the toys! kitten Victoria is feeling much more relaxed in her new environment, and it turns out she is so playful. She loves this puzzle toy and gets so excited every time she flips the ball out. Cutie! 😍 @whiskersnpurrs said.

He was abandoned on the doorstep of a rescuer in Mexico when he was very tiny. The volunteers at @animales_of_barra_de_potosi nursed him back to health and kept him safe in their cage-free shelter. kitten Victoria has made such good progress! This is the first time she has come to me for cuddles 😍

She’s been very hand shy, and reluctant to allow petting. When I did touch her I could feel her cringing away from me. But she’s slowly starting to enjoy petting. Such a brave chiquita ❤ (thanks to @malenamendez for teaching me this new Spanish word, which turns out to have nothing to do with bananas!) 🍌 @whiskersnpurrs said.
