We’re back home from Ohio and Moonbeam and Starlight have entered a very important stage of their lives…weaning! Weaning means wet food slurry and wet food slurry means MESS. There’s slurry on the walls, slurry on the kittens, slurry on me, slurry on the floor, slurry on the blankets. I’m drowning in baby wipes. Send help😂

At 5.5 weeks old, Starlight and Moonbeam are officially both above the 1 pound mark! That means it’s time for their first round of the incredibly important FVRCP vaccination. Curious question for my fellow kitten fosters: do you give vaccinations yourself or do you bring them to the shelter/vet?💉

As requested, a video of the kittens drinking their bottle! I always offer them a bottle after they finish their slurry. At this point in the weaning process, they aren’t eating enough wet food or drinking enough water on their own to provide their bodies with proper nutrition and hydration. The kitten formula will help with that until they’re a little older!🍼
