Just when I think I have things under control, these guys come up with some new obstacle to throw at me. First they were suckling on each other, so they had to be separated. Now, in protest, they’ve taken to suckling on their own leggies so hard that they are leaving sores!! 😩

I put my very bad sewing skills to work last night and created these fashionable tube collars. Don’t worry, I promise you they are not too tight. I watched them for hours to make sure they were safe. They aren’t too happy about it, but honestly what’s worse? A mildly upset kitten or an infected paw?

No more tube feeding for this big guy. Today he is weighing in around 250 grams, or two thirds the weight of a can of potato soup! 🥔

The fashionable tube sock is not just an accessory, but a fancy way to keep him from suckling the skin off his leggies 🙃 @fostermotherofkittens said.

Pudge is also doing much better, and weighing in at 220 grams today. He weighs just 20 grams more than the average Syrian hamster 🐹😍

He is also sporting the argyle sock collar because just like his brother, he is also suckling on his paws like they are made of milk 🤦🏻‍♀️ @fostermotherofkittens said.

I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but Bo and Pudge have been together all day and haven’t shown signs of sibling suckling. Here’s to hoping they have kicked the habit and they can continue staring into each others eyes and melting my heart. 😍😭 @fostermotherofkittens said.
