This is our new little kitten runty girl. I’ll be keeping a close eye on her as she’s very tiny. Yesterday she weighed 130g which is the weight of a one day old kitten, and she’s 10 days old. But she’s active which is promising – I can see her moving around and nursing when I’m spying on them with the Petcube ☺️ @whiskersnpurrs said.
So this is mama Kiera (pronounced Keer-ah). She and I have decided to be friends. I understand that she’s been a bit stressed out with all the changes, and she’s agreed not to attack me 😳 @whiskersnpurrs said.
Now that mom and I have called a truce, and the family will be staying… it’s time to name these nuggets. It’s my pleasure to introduce Zoe & Zac 😍 #kierascuties .
I’m hoping as I get more comfortable with mama, my photo and video quality can get back to its high standards. Right now the room is dim and I’m very nervous handling the babies while mama cat is giving me the stink eye 😳 @whiskersnpurrs said.

Kiera’s cuties are two weeks old today. Zoe is gaining, but very slowly – she is only 176g. She’s so tiny and frail, but she has a spunky spirit. She says to heck with Tuesdays… I can stick my tongue out every day! 😛 @whiskersnpurrs said.

Mama Kiera has not been eating or drinking much since she came into foster care. She would sometimes go a couple days at a time without eating or using the litter box. Ive been putting multiple food options out for her throughout the day and most of them she wouldn’t touch. I believe this has been affecting her milk production, which is why Zoe was so small and not gaining.

I’ve been giving Zoe three extra syringe feedings a day to try and get her weight up. She has been slowly gaining and she’s starting to feel less frail, and her face is less gaunt. She was 219 grams this morning at 18 days old. .
Mama Kiera finally started eating the past couple days. I believe her milk production must be up because Zoe has been rejecting the extra feedings for the past day, but she still had a good weight gain this morning. Zac has never been a concern – he’s chunky and robust because he’s always hogging the good nipple 🐷 @whiskersnpurrs said.
