Hello all! Meet kitten Winnie. Winnie is a little 5 month old kitten who was returned to the shelter today after developing symptoms of FIP—a dangerous and often fatal disease. Her abdomen is swollen with fluid. The only way to save her is a very expensive medication and treatment plan. She will need daily injections of GS-441524, bloodwork, and steroids for several months.

The shelter is unable to provide this treatment, so her only hope was a rescue transfer. @sayvanimalorg has graciously agreed to take her in and sponsor her care while I foster, but we desperately need your help!!

This wonderful community has come together to help save so many of my former fosters (and even a feral cat) and I am so hopeful that we can do the same for Winnie. ANY donation is helpful—please visit the link in my bio for her GoFundMe!♥️ @themarigoldkittencrew said.

Winnie has news to share—almost a week of daily FIP medication injections and her abdomen (which is full of fluid) has gone down one inch!! She is the happiest girl. Thank you to EVERYONE who donated to help pay for her very expensive treatment (her fundraiser is in my bio if you’d like to help). We couldn’t do this without you.♥️ @themarigoldkittencrew said.
