this kitten was found in a window well after yesterday’s snow storm.

Introducing my new kitten fosters! I picked these four 2 week olds up last night from @andersonanimalshelter. They were found in a window well after yesterday’s snow storm. I decided to name them after what April is best known for: ⛈⛈⛈. In order of the pictures meet Cloud, Thunder, Storm, and Rain. Cloud and Thunder are boys, Storm and Rain are girls! Cloud and Storm have mild conjunctivitis but they’re on oral antibiotics and eye drops, so it should clear up pretty soon! Welcome babies!♥️ @windycityfosters said.

Storm was the last of the four kittens to get the hang of latching on to the nipple, but I’m happy to say she’s a pro now! This girl is downing 15 mL every feeding. I adore this tiny tiger!!♥️🍼

Little Cloud☁️ Look how great his eye looks! He’s the one who came in with a mild case of conjunctivitis. Now that his little eyes aren’t watery and crusted shut, he’s spending a lot of his time just taking in the world (aka my foster room).♥️

The babies are at that age when little kitten-like features start showing up and they go from potatoes to actual baby cats. Check out Rain’s ears—they went from tiny nubs to smol somewhat-triangles just in the last 5 days!

Cloud is a strong independent kitten who don’t NEED no human and can hold his OWN bottle!🍼 The April showers are 3 weeks old now. They’re downing an entire bottle each feeding and got to graduate from a carrier to a play pen!

Cloud looking very proud during today’s weigh-in! He may be the smallest of the April showers, but he’s a chunky boi with a big personality. Only 100 grams away from one pound!💪🏻

At 4-5 weeks old, all the babies’ eyes are transforming to various greens and golds but Rain is still sporting her baby blues and I am LIVING for it.💧♥️

Tiny kitten yawns will never not be the best thing in the world.

Cloud and Storm wish you all a happy Mother’s Day! We also have a 💩 update (the perfect Mother’s Day gift, don’t ya think?). The April Showers have been given a dose of pyrantel (a broad spectrum dewormer) and started ponazuril (treats coccidia) today. Cloud has been getting better and putting on weight regularly again. Woohoo! The Shakespeare kittens are being started on toltrazuril (treats coccidia). All of them are still on probiotics. Unfortunately the diarrhea is still pretty bad, but I did notice a few semi-solids and there were no accidents on their blankets today—all in the litter boxes! So I guess you could say things are looking up? Right now I’m just grateful that they’re still active and have a great appetite. Hopefully the combo of probiotics and meds will help!
