Jasper is the polar opposite of his brother. He runs to me when I come in the room and is always purring and wanting to cuddle. I think he’s showing Jude that people are not so bad.

I feel awful that they got so little attention the last two days while I’ve been busy with Dale & Daphne. But we had a good visit this morning and their eyes are starting to look less swollen. Right now Jude is even napping on my lap ❤️ #jcolonykittens @whiskersnpurrs said.

The boys had a visit from tiny humans today and they were so brave. Especially Jude who only hissed a tiny bit but then felt bad 🐱 @whiskersnpurrs said.

I’m so proud of these two! They marched out of the foster room like nbd and started exploring the house. I expected it from Jasper as he’s been trying to escape the foster room for the past week, but I’m very surprised by my shy guy Jude 😍.

I’m going to be talking about this in my presentation at Meowfest Virtual on Sunday. The importance of bonding with your new kitten in a small safe room before letting them into the main house. I’m having a lot of foster mom guilt over these two. They just aren’t getting the attention I would normally be giving if I wasn’t spread so thin with other fosters and work. They’re doing great, and are getting much braver out in the big house, and more comfortable with Birdie. But they don’t really like being picked up. Usually my fosters are so well socialized by the time they leave, but I have some catching up to do with these two. Their neuter surgeries are next week and then it will be time for adoption 😍 #jcolonykittens @whiskersnpurrs said.
