Man, I have got so many updates! Let’s start with one. Does anyone remember the large trapping project I was working on in Woodstock? This little kitten girl was from that colony. She had been in her foster home for a little while but recently started declining. Loss of appetite, lethargy, no weight gain.
She’s a skinny little thing and was dehydrated when I picked her up so she got fluids and a B12 injection. We don’t exactly know what’s going on with her considering her litter mates are perfectly fine, but she’s been started on some medications to try and get ahead of it. She’s going to be hanging out with me until she is eating well again.♥️ @themarigoldkittencrewkittenkitten said.
After three days of trying to figure out what was wrong with kitten Emily, a little 5 week old kitten from a large TNR project who suddenly didn’t want to eat or grow, the problem (or one of them) revealed itself. Yesterday morning I found her leaking bloody urine and mucus…she has a UTI and a horrible one at that.
So, we hopped into the car and made our way to the vet for antibiotics and pain management. After only one dose of Clavamox this girl is wanting to eat again! Poor little thing has been through so much…I hope this is the last battle she has to fight. @themarigoldkittencrewkittensaid.
It was a pleasure to help this food-stained little goblin get back on her feet after a severe UTI, but it is time for Em to rejoin her brothers and sisters in their other foster home! This girl needs her playmates back.
