Hey kitten lovers, I’d like to introduce you to Jack & Frost! So sorry to keep you hanging after the teaser in my story, but we had a major snowstorm and our power was out all day. .
They were being advertised on Craigslist as free kittens and the owner agreed to surrender them to our rescue. This ensures that they get fully vetted and adopted to well screened homes. Free kittens in classified ads don’t always end up in the best hands so I’m very grateful that they are safe here with me. .
They are very timid and scared and flea infested. I don’t think they have had a lot of interaction with people. I’ll work some Christmas magic on them ✨💛 @whiskersnpurrs said.
Jack & Frost are finally starting to relax. They even played a little this morning and Frost purred 😍

They’re both boys and I estimate them to be about 9 weeks old. They will be ready for adoption in early January 🐱 @whiskersnpurrs said.

Jack & Frost were born to an 11 year old domestic mama cat. It was her second litter of the year. We also rescued their 10 month old brother – I named him Polar. He is staying elsewhere. Our rescue will spay the mama cat and she will stay with her owner.

Even though they are domestic born it’s clear they haven’t had much socialization. So I’ve got some work to do. Frost is the more confident one and already purrs when I pet him. Jack hates me 😩 @whiskersnpurrs said.

I’m receiving so many messages about adopting them. They won’t be ready to go until the 2nd week of January. My rescue does not do holds or preadoptions – you must be present at the pet store in Nanaimo to apply. When they are ready they will be delivered to a pet store adoption partner. At that point people can put in an application and the store manager makes the decision. So, you must live locally to adopt. #jackandfrost @whiskersnpurrs said.

Yup, it’s true my friends. These three love bugs are going to be together forever. Their new mom & pop are huge cat lovers and have always had rescue cats, and believe strongly in having multiples. The boys will be so spoiled and so loved 😍

Their new names are Toby (Casey), Aslan (Jack) and Frosty. AND as if all this wasn’t enough good news… they will have their own Instagram! To be announced
