The birthday boy had a good day today! It was filled with snuggles and sunshine and sweet messages from his friends. He indulged me with a festive photoshoot which we ended with a meat cake that he and Kolbe split and very much enjoyed.

Whenever I would take him to my parents’ house, Nico loved sitting in front of their fish tank. I’ve been telling him forever that I would get him his very own fish if we made it to his first birthday! It’s great mental stimulation for him that’s also low energy and doesn’t put stress on his little heart. He’s already been sitting there a lot today, just pensively watching the fish swim around and around.
