Meet my NEW kitten foster, Frankie!!! He is a 3-5 month old ginger kitten. He has a snipped ear tip, so he must have been a feral that they decided is friendly. He came into the shelter on December 6th, so he’s had some socialization.
He is a sweet boy! He’s purrs as soon as I pick him up, but runs and hides if I put him down. So my job is to make him love humans and look more approachable to potential adopters!

One of his eyes are leaking so I’m going to try some Terramycin. The shelter told me he had early signs of a URI, but aren’t completely sure. I’m keeping an eye on him. @windycityfosters said.

Happy #caturday! Frankie has sneezed a few times since Thursday so I’m going to pick up some meds from the shelter for him. Other than that, he’s doing great with coming out of his shell! @windycityfosters said.
I want to give a huge THANK YOU to @od_on_dihydrogen_monoxide for donating this bed and hammock!!! Frankie absolutely loves the bed and you’ll often see the hammock being using to make a “cave” so he feels safe. It really means the world to me and the foster kittens. You make their stay with me so much nicer. While I’m spending my foster funds on food and litter, it’s things that I can’t often buy like this bed and hammock that make the kittens comfortable and happy. This kitten has two activities: Purring and sleeping. I have yet to find a toy that he enjoys playing with! Catnip doesn’t faze him and strings don’t catch his attention. All he wants is to lay in my lap while I pet him. But hey, I’m not complaining! Having a calm kitten is nice for a change. @windycityfosters said.

Frankie is much more social and comfortable than he was last Thursday. He will purr and run up to me when I walk into the room, meow at me when he wants to eat, and no longer runs and hides when he hears loud noises. He still isn’t ready for free roam of the house, but he is very comfortable in the foster room!
