You’re probably wondering how this lady ended up in a little kitten pink jumpsuit. Well, this morning I went in to check on Mama cat Flandry and her Tiny babies, and I found this little lady in pretty rough shape. Her umbilical cord must have gotten tangled in the fibers of the blanket and pulled it off. It made for a pretty gruesome scene.
Thanks to the awesome community I’ve become a part of here, we were able to get her cleaned up and wrapped up to prevent any further damage. She will be seen by our doctor first thing in the morning.
I’m sharing this in an effort to remind everyone that no matter how much experience, or how many connections you have, shit happens, and it’s our responsibility as fosters to fight and advocate for these little creatures. Please keep this little one in your thoughts and prayers. 💕 @fostermotherofkittens said.

Princess kitten Olivia is doing okay. I won’t say she’s out of the woods yet, but it’s looking like she will recover! Doc was so impressed with her little jumpsuit that she felt guilty unwrapping it off to take a look. 😂 It has already started to scab over, which is great!!
The biggest hurdle at this point is just flipping her upright every hour because she gets stuck on her back like a turtle. I always know right away though, because she has some MIGHTY big pipes for such a little thing 👸💖 @fostermotherofkittens said.
Princess Olivia healed up very well!! She looks pretty pissed off here, and honestly I don’t blame her. She’s really not been dealt the best hand. Still, she continues to fight, and for that I’m extremely grateful. @fostermotherofkittens said.

Apparently this is what babies look like when momma isn’t quite sure how to mom. Mama Flandi is less than a year old herself, so I can’t really hold it against her. She’s CLEARLY feeding these little ones, so I spose it’s just up to me to keep em clean. Hang in there, my messy little ones. We will get through this together. 💕 @fostermotherofkittens said.
