A Miss Kanga update-💘 A week ago this kitten child had 2 “episodes” where she tried to die on me and I’m like, nope, not on my watch. ( #winniepoohkittens update)

Kanga is just not as “thrifty” of a kitten, to borrow the term from the vet, meaning she’s not thriving as well as her siblings. However, she’s back to gaining weight, eats wet food and Baby Thrive with gusto (like me with dark chocolate caramel pecan turtles), and is playful and alert. No more diarrhea but the back end department often needs cleanup.

Kanga must have picked up a cold from Ollie and Odie when they got their vaccines last week. All of the other kittens just had/have random sneezes with no nasal or eye discharge but Kanga isn’t as robust to fight it off. That’s why I’ve got her in the Kitty Bake Oven a couple times a day to get a nebulizer treatment. She falls asleep in there and enjoys the heat. I’m happy she has an appetite and I believe this setback is not a big deal. 😻 @kitten_faces said.

Imagine my surprise when I walked in on this! Apparently I didn’t secure the door to the tinies’ enclosure. All 6 kittens were in the bigger part of the foster room and Kanga was eating right along with Ollie and Odie!
They are doing much better with their sneezes, and everyone is on antibiotics, so I said to myself AND to the kittens, Oh well! @kitten_faces said.

Kanga is growing! She’s still a tiny one, but the scale says she is 15.8 ounces, almost a member of the One Pound Club.
Piglet is 18 ounces, Pooh and Tigger are both 20 ounces.
