Matchaā€™s condition started declining rapidly last night. šŸ˜” (Last 2 photos are from last night)

I instantly began intensive supportive care. I woke up every few hours in the night to make sure she was warm (she had multiple blankets and also a heat source), gave her dextrose and help get her through the night.

Matcha is currently withĀ @catventurehillĀ who is continuing intensive care.

Calici is a tough, deadly virusā€”especially with kittens this youngā€”and these babies have been up against so much in their first few days of life. Keep fighting little ones. We are trying everything we can do to help them. ā™„ļø @fosteringlove.pdx said.

Sheā€™s gone. šŸ’”

Matcha started fading last night. We instantly started intensive supportive care and she made it through the night. However, her body temperature kept dropping despite being surrounded by multiple heat sources. She was lethargic and had no energy at all.Ā @catventurehillĀ stayed by Matchaā€™s side as she took her last breath. Fly free little one.

Calicivirus is the absolute worst. šŸ˜” @fosteringlove.pdx said.

Itā€™s been a really tough week, but here is some good news! āœØ

Peppermint is now 250 grams. Heā€™s gaining 10-15 grams per day, which is really good!

Peppermintā€™s Calicivirus symptoms are also slowly starting to improve and go away as well. Heā€™s definitely way better than last week with less sniffles, less congestion and his previous tongue ulcers have completely healed. Heā€™s still fighting the virus, but it seems like things are getting better.

Go Peppermint, go! šŸ’— @fosteringlove.pdx said.

Cocoa is back! The family is all together again. ā™„ļø

Cocoa is now feeling so much better thanks to a week of care and tube-feeding with the amazingĀ @furryfostersinpdx. Cocoa is able to nurse by herself on mama Mocha again now that her Calici symptoms have lessened. She has been growing so much as well. Way to go Cocoa! šŸŽ‰ @fosteringlove.pdx said.

Happy 3 weeks to Peppermint & Cocoa! šŸŽ‰

Peppermint was very sleepy and decided to take a nap the entire time I took photos. šŸ˜… Cocoa was a natural model. Both of the kittens are starting to get more mobile and are learning how to walk. Theyā€™re still very wobbly though! @fosteringlove.pdx said.

Peppermint & Cocoa are starting to learn how to play. āœØ Their favorite things to do is rolling around onto their backs or batting their paws at each other. @fosteringlove.pdx said.

4 weeks old today! šŸŽ‰

It makes me so happy to see these two thriving, growing and playing with each-other. šŸ„°

Also, mama Mocha has two photos at the end because sheā€™s such a good mama to Cocoa & Peppermint! #MochaCafeKittens @fosteringlove.pdx said.
