I’ve been keeping a very cute secret from y’all… Meet kitten Eggnog! 🎄🥛 This teeny tiny guy has a pretty sad backstory, but he’s absolutely thriving now ❤️

Recently, a couple had to rehome some of their cats, including a mom + 7 babies, due to being evicted. They did the best they could, but it wasn’t a good situation. They were able to find someone to take the mom + kittens, but — over a day later — realized that the person had forgotten one of the kittens when he began screaming his head off. When they asked the new owner to take the now-orphaned kitten, they refused; we’re not really sure why.

They went out and got formula and tried to feed him, but they just couldn’t get him to eat. At that point, they contacted me again to see if I would take him since he hadn’t eaten in several days. They sent the message at 11pm and I think I was there by 11:30 😅 I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was still shocked by his appearance. He was cold, thin, unkempt, infested with fleas, and had thick discharge coming from his nose and eyes.

He screamed the entire ride back (I can’t imagine how hungry he must’ve been), but latched onto the bottle right away! Since bringing him home, he hasn’t missed a single meal, has gained over 100g, is rid of those nasty fleas, and his upper respiratory infection is nearly gone! I am seriously SO in love with him, and can’t wait to watch him grow. Welcome, Eggnog!!

kitten Eggnog went from starving, weak, lethargic, and infested with fleas ➡️ chonky, healthy, and THRIVING ❤️ He’s definitely starting to show some singleton behavior, but Fievel & Lua are helping to curb that. I just adore this sweet little buff boy!!!
