kitten Bean got some warm blankets straight out of the laundry this morning and it’s safe to say he enjoyed them. @themarigoldkittencrew said.
I realized I have been depriving you all of a Bean update. It hard to get photos because he’s a busy-body and is moving around 24/7, so here’s a video of him getting some head scritches.
By the way, is it weird that I keep calling him Ducky?🦆 @themarigoldkittencrewkitten said.

ay five of panleuk exposure:
Spike (directly exposed): no symptoms, still getting antibiotics and supplements.
Static (symptomatic) : will not eat on his own, but it slowly gaining more energy. On every medication.
Bean (indirectly exposed): started all the medications on Friday. No vomiting or diarrhea and is eating on his own, but is thin. So I’m treating him as if he has it just in case.
Panela (indirectly exposed): unfortunately started vomiting last night and her weight/BCS plummeted. Could not maintain hydration or body temp. She had been on all the medications since Friday but was unable to fight it and passed away this morning. She tested negative, but it is assumed this was a false negative (not rare). I suspected this outcome last night, so I spent a lot of time holding her while she was still alert. I am grateful for that time I got with her. But I am more-so heartbroken. 💔
Symphony: no symptoms and a good appetite. Has some constipation but I believe it is formula-related or caused by abx. I am terrified of exposing him to anything so he does not leave his incubator. Ever.
I am still awaiting the moment when I find out panleuk existed in a space or animal I had been exposed to without knowing. Nothing so far. How this virus made its way into my home still puzzles and terrifies me. @themarigoldkittencrew said.
