Meet my temporary guest!
I get to hang out with this cute kitten lil girl until she goes to a longer-term foster next week. 10/10 very cute. She was found outside alone last week and has been in the care of her finders. But they needed a little help, so @russellingup_kittens picked her up and transported her to me.
Find a kitten? Here are some important things you may need to know:
1. Kittens under the age of 3-4 weeks old can’t potty on their own! They need to stimulated with a towel, cotton ball, etc every feeding if they don’t have a mom.
2. Bottle-fed kittens need a reliable heat source and a space to escape the heat! They are unable to regulate their body temp at this age and without a mom to keep them warm, they need to get body heat from somewhere else.
3. Kittens won’t wake up for feedings—it’s part of their instinct! They often keep very quiet, even if their feeding time has passed, so that they don’t attract predators. So it’s important to keep them in a schedule and wake them up for feedings! @themarigoldkittencrew said.
