This poor, sweet cat mama-to-be is so terrified š
I think the most difficult thing about fostering semi/feral cats is that you just want to hold them and pet them and tell them that everythingās okay, but that will just terrify them more. For now, Iām just leaving Persephone completely be, which is SO hard, but itās 100% the right thing to do.
She finally ate last night and I can tell sheās been exploring (by the fact sheās knocked stuff over š), which shows sheās feeling a little bit more comfortable! I canāt wait to hopefully be able to snuggle her in the coming weeks and help deliver her adorable babes ā„ļø

Any guesses as to when sheāll give birth & how many babies sheāll have?! Iām thinking in the next 2 weeks & 3-4!

Persephone started nesting today!!! She also has stopped eating & was very hissy this morning, which is abnormal for her now that weāre besties, so I *think* the babies are coming!!! š¤© I canāt wait to meet them, and introduce them all to you!

Still no babies ššš I have this fancy monitor set up to watch her on (spoiler alert: itās my laptop on facetime š) so I can give her space, but keep an eye on whatās happening!
Iām starting to get a little stressed because all the signs point to her being in labor, but not producing kittens. However, at the moment, sheās active, alert, responsive, and eating, so nothing is emergent. We have a plan if she doesnāt give birth by the end of the day, but really hoping she does! š¤ Iāll keep you all updated, I know everyone is ready for babies! š±ā„ļø
