1:30am Update: Kazoo lost his battlešŸ’” Rest In Peace kittens

Posting kittens I’m not sure will make it through the night is hard, but he’s fighting so hard and he deserves to be known.

This is Kazoo. He came in from an overcrowded animal control with his mom and littermates and we immediately noticed that they were in rough shape—emaciated with horrible diarrhea. Today we lost one kitten and I decided to take the two sicker-looking kittens home for round-the-clock-care. One kitten did not even survive the car ride home. And so I am left with only Kazoo. Rest In Peace, Trumpet and Cowbell.

Kazoo is on a strong antibiotic, two different medications for diarrhea, subcutaneous fluids, B12 injections, probiotics, sugar supplements, prescription urgent care food, and a cozy spot in the incubator (which is why the photo is tinted orange).

He is so weak it takes a lot for him to even lift his head. But he’s eating and drinking water and reacts to my voice. I am really rooting for him.ā™„ļøĀ @themarigoldkittencrew said.
