14 cats and kittens who had been living in cages at an animal shelter in central IL—some for months and some for years—got a chance at a new life for the new year!
This is Zoey and Bowtie, who had been at the shelter for the majority of their 11 years of life. They are amazingly sweet and they are spending the night with me until they can go to their forever home tomorrow.
Ten cats and kittens (Mallory, Alex, Stephen, Elyse, Piper, Avery, Max, Molly, Michelle, and Daisy) made their way to @andersonhumane this afternoon.
And @foreverfortunatefelines took two 8 month old kittens, kitten Archie and kitten Artie, who have been struggling to get over a URI and put on a good amount of weight since they went back to the shelter after their foster raised them.
There are hundreds more, but these 14 kitten get to know what toys, beds, and places to jump and scratch are tonight and for the rest of their lives. Thank you to those who made this possible—transporters, fosters, adopters, and rescues. Especially @russellingup_kittens who drove them 4 hours up to Chicagoland today.♥️ @windycityfosters said.
